ONEIDA COUNTY:WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 P.M. EST SUNDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida, Seneca, Southern Cayuga and Onondaga counties.

* WHEN...From 3 P.M. Saturday afternoon to 7 P.M. EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates could approach 1 inch per hour briefly late Saturday afternoon into the evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

OLD FORGE/WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. SATURDAY EVENING TO 7 P.M. EST SUNDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches with locally higher amounts up to 15 inches.

* WHERE....Lake George and Saratoga Regions and the Southern Adirondacks

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. Saturday evening to 7 P.M. EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to snow covered roadways and reduced visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates around one inch per hour at times for Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

 

LEWIS & OSWEGO COUNTIES: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. SATURDAY EVENING TO 7 P.M. EST SUNDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches.

* WHERE...Oswego and Lewis counties.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. Saturday evening to 7 P.M. EST Sunday. The majority of the snowfall and greatest impact on travel will be Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on snow covered and slippery roads along with reduced visibilities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.
