TUG HILL REGION: WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 P.M. WEDNESDAY TO 1 A.M. EST THURSDAY.

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...All of western and north central New York.

* WHEN...From 1 P.M. Wednesday to 1 A.M. EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

ONEIDA COUNTY: WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 1 P.M. WEDNESDAY TO 7 A.M. EST THURSDAY.

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida County.

* WHEN...From 1 P.M. Wednesday to 7 A.M. EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

OLD FORGE & WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. WEDNESDAY TO 8 A.M. EST THURSDAY.

* WHAT...West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph expected.

* WHERE...The western and southern Adirondacks, Upper Hudson Valley, and Lake George/Saratoga Region.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. Wednesday to 8 A.M. EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and scattered power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms will rapidly track across the region from west to east this evening. Winds will quickly shift to the west and strengthen. While the strongest winds will likely only last for a short window (2 to 4 hours) tonight, these winds could result in downed tree limbs and scattered power outages. Gusty winds will continue through the early morning hours on Thursday but will gradually weaken.
