JEFFERSON & LEWIS COUNTIES: WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 2 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON TO 8 A.M. EDT SUNDAY.

* WHAT...South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Winds will be from the southeast into this evening, then switch to the southwest after midnight tonight.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...From 2 P.M. this afternoon to 8 A.M. EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

* WHERE...In New York, Northern Herkimer and Hamilton Counties. In Vermont, Bennington and Western Windham Counties.

* WHEN...From 3 P.M. this afternoon to midnight EDT tonight.
