JEFFERSON & LEWIS COUNTIES:WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 4 P.M. EST SATURDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. this evening to 4 P.M. EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.

 

ONEIDA COUNTY: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 1 P.M. EST SATURDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida counties.

* WHEN...From 6 P.M. this evening to 1 P.M. EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and impact the evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... The snow may mix with sleet at times. Snowfall rates around an inch per hour are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

 

OLD FORGE/WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 7 P.M. EST SATURDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE... Herkimer and Montgomery Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 P.M. this evening to 7 P.M. EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to snow covered roadways and reduced visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow rates may exceed one inch per hour at times tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
