UPDATE: Missing man in Lowville confirmed deceased, authorities say

LOWVILLE- The missing man in Lowville, NY authorities have been searching for since Monday is confirmed to be dead.

This development surfaced Thursday evening. According to Lowville Village Police, Paul R. Barker Jr., 67, was found at around 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

For now, his death appears to be accidental, but an official investigation remains ongoing.

Lowville Police would like to thank everyone who reached out with information that helped lead authorities to find Barker Jr. 

Agencies that provided assistance include the Lewis County Sheriff's Office; New York State Police and New York State Forest Rangers.
