ONEIDA COUNTY:WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 12-inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 30-mph.

* WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday evening through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There remains uncertainty in the exact location of the lake effect snow band Thursday evening through Friday. However the heavy lake effect snow may impact the Mohawk Valley region, including Utica, Rome and the NY Thruway Corridor. Snow amounts are forecast to quickly diminish south of the NY Thruway in Madison county.
