JEFFERSON, LEWIS & OSWEGO COUNTIES: WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations of more than a foot persistent lake snows. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening, with somewhat lower winds then expected through the bulk of the lake effect snow event.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be extremely difficult. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Narrow bands of heavy snow could impact portions of the region. Localized travel problems will be possible.
