JEFFERSON & LEWIS COUNTIES: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 A.M. TO 1 P.M. EST FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of an inch or less and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch. Greatest ice amounts will be north of Lowville.

* WHERE...Lewis county.

* WHEN...From 1 A.M. to 1 P.M. EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.

 

OLD FORGE/WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 A.M. TO 7 P.M. EST FRIDAY.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations between one to three inches, and ice accumulations of a light glaze to a tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer, Hamilton, Northern Warren and Northern Washington Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 A.M. to 7 P.M. EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Slow down and use caution while traveling.
