
JEFFERSON, LEWIS & OSWEGO COUNTIES- WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 P.M. EST THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
* WHAT...Lake effect. Total snow accumulations 3 to 5 inches in the most persistent lake snows, with local 5 to 8 inch amounts possible across the northwest portion of the Tug Hill Plateau. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.
* WHEN...Until 4 P.M. EST Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute today.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities. Submit snow reports through our website or social media.
