JEFFERSON & LEWIS COUNTIES: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 6 P.M. EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. TOTAL snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Oswego and Lewis counties.

* WHEN...From 6 P.M. this evening to 6 P.M. EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.

 

OLD FORGE/WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 7 P.M. EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches.

* WHERE...In New York, Northern Herkimer County. In Vermont, Eastern Windham County.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. this evening to 7 P.M. EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will be heaviest between 9 pm this evening and 5 am Tuesday, where snowfall rates of around 0.5 inch per hour are expected.
