VERONA- A local resident is accused of unlawfully fleeing from a police officer in Oneida County.

The New York State Police (Oneida) announced late in the afternoon on Wednesday that Haley E. Vanderland, 20, of Boonville, NY was formally charged with one misdemeanor count of unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

According to Troopers, this charge was filed in the town of Verona. At press time, police said that Vanderland was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
