NYSP: DWI arrest results from property damage wreck in Herkimer County

NEWPORT- A property damage wreck Monday evening in Herkimer County has resulted in a DWI arrest.

According to the New York State Police (Herkimer), David J. Garlock, 60, of Newport, NY was arrested and charged on one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, the wreck occurred on Main Street in the village of Newport, NY. State Police did not report any injuries.

At press time, police said that Garlock was issued with an appearance ticket.
