CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with a felony charge for allegedly promoting a sexual performance by a child in Jefferson County.

On Wednesday morning, the New York State Police arrested and charged Jamie A. Guillen, 34, of Carthage,, NY with one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child (less than 17-years of age).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from an incident reported last January in Carthage, NY.

At press time, police said an investigation was still pending, while Guillen’s arrest status was listed as “other.”
