NYSP: Several Lewis County area establishments checked for underage alcoholic beverage compliance; one business busted in Constableville

CONSTABLEVILLE- Authorities from the New York State Police recently executed an underage drinking initiative in Lewis County.
On Friday, October 2, over a dozen establishments were tested to ensure compliance in following New York’s ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) laws – specifically for selling to those under the age of 21.
Out of 14 total businesses checked in this operation, Constableville Petroleum was the only one found not to be in compliance.
Authorities allege that store employee Kirpal Singh, 47, allegedly sold an alcoholic beverage to an 18-year-old operative.
Singh was charged with misdemeanor counts of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first-degree and prohibitive sale of alcoholic beverage to a person under 21.
Those charges are returnable to West Turin Town Court at a later date.
