OCSO: Toddler pronounced deceased in fatal pedestrian accident in town of Lee

LEE- The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal car v. pedestrian accident that occurred this week, which involved a toddler.

Emergency responders were dispatched on Thursday to 6013 Stokes Lee Center Road, town of Lee.

As of this report, Investigators have determined that Jessica Furry, 27, of Lee Center, NY was operating her 2018 white Jeep Grand Cherokee in the driveway of her residence.

It was determined Jessica had placed the vehicle in drive and drove forward, ultimately striking her 3-year-old son, Cooper Farda.

Jessica began life saving measures until Cooper was transported from the scene by AmCare Ambulance to Rome Health, where he was pronounced deceased.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office were assisted on the scene by members of the New York State Police and Lee Center Fire Department.

At this time, this incident is still under investigation.
