GLENFIELD- The former 3-G Fire Hall went up in flames late Monday night.

It happened shortly before midnight, as a caller reported to 9-1-1 dispatch that the structure and a truck adjacent to it were on fire.

By the time 3-G Fire Department, the primary responder on-scene, arrived to the 6182 River Street Address, the structure was fully engulfed.

Martinsburg and Lowville Fire Departments were called for mutual aid. Despite best efforts by emergency responders, the structure was a total loss.

The building is owned currently by O J Fenton, the office of Lewis County Emergency Management said.

A cause was not mentioned at press time, however; is under investigation.

Members of Search & Rescue; the Sheriff’s Office; National Grid; Lewis County Cause and Origin Team and Town of Martinsburg all assisted.
