Old Forge resident faced with numerous charges after allegedly attacking police officers during domestic incident

OLD FORGE- A resident from the Western Adirondacks is faced with numerous charges stemming from a domestic incident in Herkimer County, where responding police officers were attacked, authorities say.

Paul J. Case, 23, of Old Forge, NY was arrested on Friday by the Town of Webb Police Department. Case was formally charged with assault in the second-degree, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and two counts of harassment in the second-degree.

According to police officials, these charges stem from a reported domestic incident on August 8 in Old Forge, NY.

It occurred on Adams Street, where responding officers were attacked, resulting in one of them being hospitalized, investigators said.

At press time, authorities said that Case was committed to the Herkimer County Jail, pending an arraignment.
