LOWVILLE- All students attending Lowville Academy for this school year will all start the first day on campus.

This anxiously awaited development blossoms from a letter published Friday by Superintendent of Schools, Rebecca E. Dunckel.

“This decision was made after careful consideration and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the best possible experience for our students,” Dunckel said in the letter.

Earlier this week, the school district had floated the idea of potentially starting Kindergarten and First Grade students in alternate locations amidst more flooding damage to the campus.

The school was also flooded in July. Although there were numerous possibilities explored, authorities decided it was best to start everyone under the same roof.

Stay tuned, we anticipate further developments from Superintendent Dunckel, soon.
