ON-AIR SEGMENT: All seniors adopted in Santa for Seniors, 2024

Published on December 05, 2024

Santa For Seniors 2020

LOWVILLE- There were about 150 seniors who signed up to be adopted for Santa for Seniors, 2024, and according to Shannon Frappier-Farney, Aging Services Specialist, Lewis County Office for the Aging, all of them have had people step up to make their Christmas a little brighter.

"All of our seniors have been adopted!" Frappier-Farney said in a released statement, while going on to thank everyone who stepped up to be a sponsor and to everyone who adopted a senior.

Be sure to listen to our latest on-air coverage from Thursday, December 5, 2024:

The intent of the program is to provide gifts for Lewis County senior citizens, who otherwise would not receive any during the holidays due to a lack of nearby family and friends.

With that said, gifts are due no later than Wednesday, December 11 at the Human Services Building (5274 Outer Stowe St, Lowville, NY 13367).

Frappier-Farney says volunteers are still welcome to come and help wrap and/or deliver gifts (call the Santa Hotline number to sign-up: 315-377-2077).
