ON-AIR SEGMENT: Ben Simons talks 2026 Farm Bureau lobbying efforts in Albany

On Friday, March 13, 2026, local agriculture figure, Ben Simons, joined North Country News and discussed the latest Farm Bureau lobbying efforts.

During each legislative session in Albany, NY, various Farm Bureaus and agriculture figures from across New York head to the state capitol to discuss the latest agricultural issues with lawmakers.  

This year, lobbying efforts took place a month earlier than normal in February, according to Mr. Simons.
