ON-AIR SEGMENT: LCPH Director Ashley Waite gives update amidst latest influenza wave

LOWVILLE- On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Director of Lewis County Public Health, Ashley Waite, joined North Country News to provide an update on this influenza season.

Though other illnesses are spreading, such as COVID and RSV, Director Waite says there has been a specific strain of influenza that took off before the holidays and spread like wildfire.
