LOWVILLE- New York State now awaits a final decision from the USDA regarding a potential disaster declaration, which if approved, would provide loans for farmers, agriculture producers and families who lost their livelihood across Lewis, Herkimer, Oswego and Madison counties from structural collapses.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Lewis County Cornell Cooperative Extension Office Executive Director, Michele Ledoux, joined North Country News to remind those impacted by the heavy snowpack this winter to reach out to their nearest USDA Farm Services Agency to address any comments or concerns:
