
LOWVILLE- A complaint at a local health care facility led to the arrest of a North Country man for allegedly transporting clients while intoxicated.
Steven Kirch, 59, of Carthage, NY is formally charged by the Lowville Village Police for DWI (while operating a commercial vehicle (w/a .04% BAC or greater).
On Monday morning, the village police received a complaint from a local health care facility. According to Chief of Police Daryl R. Ortlieb, Kirch was driving clients in a 'for hire' transport van, while allegedly intoxicated.
Kirch was also charged with operating with an open container of an alcohol beverage.
Kirch is due to appear in Lowville Town Court at a later date. There were no further details provided.
