LOWVILLE- On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Lewis County Clerk, Jake Moser, joined North Country News and discussed an upcoming DMV service outage.

From the afternoon of Friday, February 13 through Wednesday, February 18, all DMV offices will close for business, and DMV online transactions and phone services will be unavailable.

This brief interruption, according to Moser, will allow for the installation for its first segment of its new, modernized technology system to give customers better and more streamlined service, and to help DMV staff serve New Yorkers more efficiently.system to be implemented and tested to ensure the successful resumption of services.
