ON-AIR SEGMENT: Lewis County Manager Timothy Hunt gives take on proposed wind energy project

LOWVILLE- On Friday, August 14, 2026, Lewis County Manager, Timothy Hunt, joined North Country News and gave his take regarding the proposed wind farm project.

If it comes to full fruition, several wind turbines would be established across portions of Southern Lewis and Northern Oneida Counties. Since word has gotten out, some town folks have taken to social media to express their concerns.

Green Power Energy is the firm behind this proposition and County Manager Hunt says that it is important for the sake of the community to not put the cart in front of the horse and to not get lost in all of the "noise."
