Be sure to listen to our segment with Blake Gendebien for more about who he is and the stances he takes for when it comes to important issues in the North Country:
To clarify, we have now reached out numerous times for an interview with our current North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik since her return to Congress and we have yet to hear back and coordinate a time.
You may remember how President Trump selected her to serve on his cabinet and be the U.S. Ambassador for the United Nations, but the President changed course weeks later and asked that Stefanik return to Congress instead, citing a narrow majority in the House of Representatives.
There have been headlines floating around to suggest Stefanik may end up taking on a Gubernatorial run against Democratic Governor, Kathy Hochul.
Stefanik, a staunch Republican and loyal Trump supporter, has been at the helm of New York 21 since she was first elected a decade ago.
Regardless, Hochul and Stefanik are both up for reelection come November, 2026.
