BOONVILLE- Monday morning’s fire call outside the village turned out to be a false alarm and good natured regarding intent.
Alarms sounded for Boonville Fire Department shortly before 8:00 a.m. for a working structure fire in the hamlet of Hawkinsville, NY.
An exact address was not available from Oneida County Emergency Dispatch.
Constableville Fire Department was called for mutual aid, but ended up being cancelled once it became clear there was no need for their assistance, said Boonville Fire Chief, Dave Pritchard Jr.
Details regarding what prompted the emergency response were not exactly specified, but fire officials did say there was smoke observed for a time being.
There was no structural damage reported and emergency responders did not report any injuries.
