LOWVILLE-On Monday, October 27, 2025, North Country area attorney, Candace Randall, joined North Country News and discussed the third and final segment of our latest mini-series focusing on the importance of voter turnouts in local elections.

Specifically, Randall has been discussing a new law that will change the way local elections are done across New York.

Starting in 2026, the vast majority of local, or "off-year" elections will directly coincide with the state and federal elections in hopes of increasing voter turnout at the polls.
