Herkimer County resident charged with criminal contempt in Newport, police say

NEWPORT- A domestic dispute report in the Herkimer County area has resulted in an accusation filed against a local resident.

On Sunday afternoon, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Adam J. Boepple, 37, of Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a domestic dispute report, which was investigated that same afternoon by police in the town of Newport.

At press time, authorities said that Boepple’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
