Serving as a local staple for Lewis County citizens, the idea is to play Santa Claus for a senior citizen, who may be without family or friends during the holidays.
"This program is really to provide them with a nice Christmas," said Aging Services Specialist, Lewis County Office for the Aging, Shannon Frappier-Farney. Be sure to listen to our latest on-air segment for more details:
According to Farney, there are roughly 150 seniors up for adoption on this year's list.
Through December 6, we will be airing select senior citizens, including their age and items they would like for Christmas.
Those who adopt a senior are tasked with achieving their wish list and returning the gifts to Lewis County Office for the Aging.
Gifts need to be returned to The Social Services Building at 5274 Outer Stowe St, Lowville by Wednesday, December 11, or sooner.
