CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with charges for allegedly entering a neighbor’s home and removing property, authorities say.

Derek J. Farr, 47, of Carthage, NY is formally charged by the Carthage Village Police Department for one felony count of burglary in the second-degree and one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

Police allege that Farr entered a neighboring residence, without the owner’s permission, and removed property. Furthermore, Carthage Police officials say there was an active stay away order against Farr when the incident occurred.

Following an arraignment in Jefferson County Court, Farr was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
