ON-AIR SEGMENT: Woodgate Fire Chief Anthony Sege talks in-house volunteer firefighter training

WOODGATE- On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Woodgate Fire Chief, Anthony Sege, joined North Country News and discussed in-house firefighter training.

RecruitNY Weekend was observed earlier this month and Woodgate was one of several fire departments statewide to host an open house for folks to visit and learn more about becoming a volunteer fire fighter.  

For this latest on-air segment, Chief Sege goes over how there can be gaps between certified firefighter courses, and that is why he says fire departments should take the opportunity to train their new members in-house before the next classes come around.
