ROME- A local suspect is still at large, while two others are being held behind bars in the wake of a home invasion Monday in Oneida County.
It was shortly after midnight when Rome City Police were called out to check on a house at 729 W. Liberty Street after dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hang-up call.
Witnesses told police that numerous subjects entered the address, without permission. During the intrusion, police determined a woman was held down and robbed of property, ultimately left with injuries.
Furthermore, police learned a male victim was smashed in the face with a cast iron frying pan, causing significant injuries to his head.
*A correction was made to the sentence above, with the word frying being corrected from a typo (drying).
Nearly twelve-hours later, police said the two of the suspects returned to the address and were caught, despite attempts to flee.
