ONEIDA COUNTY- Several emergency agencies were on scene at the WigWam in Forestport, NY Monday afternoon after 9-1-1 dispatchers received calls about a possible structure fire.
Forestport, Otter Lake and Woodgate Fire Departments were all on scene at around 12:15 p.m. Someone called 9-1-1 over a possible structure fire, but investigation revealed an electrical issue.
Officials say National Grid and a private electrician were called in to investigate further.
Members of the State Police and Sheriff’s Office responded as well. While Otter Lake returned to service, calls came in over a tree down on some wires on Lighthouse Loop.
Crews investigated and located a tree that had fallen on a home’s entrance line.
Firefighters secured the scene and National Grid was called in.
