Petit larceny charge issued to Herkimer County teen for alleged town of Russia incident

RUSSIA- A local juvenile is faced with a larceny charge in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Last Saturday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and officially charged a 17-year-old teen from Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

A name or gender for the youthful offender was not made available by authorities.

Troopers say the charge was filed stemming from larceny complaints filed back in April in the town of Russia.

At press time, police said the teenage suspect was issued with an appearance ticket and there were no further details provided.
