Poland man charged with felony criminally possessing a weapon, police say

NORWAY- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is accused of a felony charge for criminally possessing a firearm, authorities say.

Benjamin M. Kraeger, 27, of Poland, NY was arrested Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Kraeger is officially charged with one felony count of criminally possessing a weapon in the third-degree (assault rifle).

According to Troopers, Kraeger’s arrest stems from complaints filed Wednesday in the town of Norway.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending, with evidence. An arrest status was not listed for Kraeger.

No further details were provided from the State Police.
