Poland resident arrested on criminal warrant, Troopers say

NEWPORT- A Herkimer County resident was arrested over the weekend on a criminal warrant.

According to the New York State Police (Herkimer), Brian Joseph Smaldon, 20, of Poland, NY was arrested Sunday afternoon in the town of Newport on a criminal warrant.

Further details were not specified in the initial reports from State Police.

At press time, Troopers said that Smaldon was turned over to another agency.

There were no further details provided.
