Domestic dispute in Newport results in criminal obstruction of breathing charge against local resident

NEWPORT- A local resident in Herkimer County is faced with an accusation stemming from a reported domestic dispute over the weekend.

On Sunday morning, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Billie J. Tyson, 43, of Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a domestic dispute in the village of Newport, which was reported Sunday morning.

At press time, Tyson’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
