Police Investigators: Local pair face swath of drug charges over string of several incidents this spring
LOWVILLE- A pair from Lewis County is faced with several accusations stemming from a string of several incidents and complaints this spring, authorities say.
Back on May 10, authorities with Lewis County Drug Task Force and the Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest for bench warrants out against Jesse E. Lee, 27, and Rebecca C. Lynch, 28.
The warrants were issued because they both had failed to appear in court, officials said. The bust was conducted at 6010 Main Street, Glenfield, NY.
While officers were inside, they reportedly witnessed drugs and other paraphernalia in plain view. Acting as a Lewis County Court Judge, the Honorable Anthony Neddo authorized a full search, where police found nearly three grams of fentanyl and four grams of meth.
In addition, police also found 8 glassine envelopes of heroin and/or fentanyl; a dozen suboxone strips and a suboxone pill; digital scales; drug packaging and a throwing star.
Nearly a month later on June 8, lee was charged by the drug task force for criminally possessing a controlled substance in the third-degree, along with two counts of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the fifth-degree.
In addition, Lee was also charged with criminally possessing a weapon (for the throwing star) and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
About a week later on June 17, Lynch was charged with the same set of accusations as Lee after she was arrested that day by the Lowville Police for a separate burglary charge.
Last Wednesday, authorities executed a search warrant for a lockbox, which was reportedly in lee’s possession during his arrest June 8.
After K-9 units sniffed out the lockbox, the Honorable James Coffman, Town of Lowville Court, authorized the search warrant, where authorities reportedly discovered nearly 15-grams of meth, along with a half-dozen suboxone pills, digital scales and drug packaging.
Lee remains in jail from his June 8 arrest, with additional felony and misdemeanor counts pending discretion via the Lewis County DA’s Office.
Lynch remains held from her June 17 arrest.
