POLICE: Local suspect released on own recognizance after allegedly slashing victim in the back with utility razor during altercation in Lewis County

GLENFIELD- A local resident from Southern Lewis County is faced with a trio of charges after allegedly slashing a victim in the back numerous times last fall during an altercation.

On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office announced that Ryan J. Farr, 22, of Constableville, NY turned himself over to authorities and was subsequently charged with burglary in the first-degree, assault in the second-degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth-degree.

According to Sheriff’s Investigators, these charges all stem from an incident that occurred on October 23 at 6010 Main Street, Glenfield, NY.

Police say they responded to reports of an altercation, which involved a group of people. It was determined that Farr and other people, who were not identified by police, entered the apartment.

This is when the altercation escalated, police said. During the commotion, police allege that Farr used a utility razor knife and slashed a victim, who has been identified as Trevon P. Watkins, 26, in the back with it a total of five times.

Following an arraignment in CAP Court, authorities said that Farr was released on his own recognizance.
