LOWVILLE- A village man is accused of continuously disrupting a crisis phone line at a North Country hospital, law enforcement officials are reporting.

James Collins, 49, of Lowville, NY was arrested by the Village Police Department on Tuesday and formally charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree.

Police officials say that Collins is allegedly responsible for disrupting staff members and resources at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY, by calling the crisis line numerous times for "no legitimate purpose," despite being asked to stop.

After the complaint was investigated and the charge was filed, police said that Collins was issued with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
