
CARTHAGE- A domestic dispute in the North Country has resulted in both felony and misdemeanor charges against a local resident.
Carthage Village Police Department reportedly investigated as domestic incident on Saturday, which resulted in the arrest of Isaiah Jimenez De Leon for one felony count of unlawful imprisonment in the first-degree; along with three misdemeanor counts of criminal obstruction of breathing and one misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment in the second-degree.
Police allege that Jimenez De Leon restrained a woman by lying on-top of her, while choking her, covering her face with a pillow and placing a sock in her mouth.
Also, authorities allege that Jimenez De Leon refused the woman to leave for about 3-hours.
A stay away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
Following arraignment, Jimenez De Leon was remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $1,000 cash, $2,000 secured bond or $5,000 partially secured bond.
