Port Leyden resident charged with falsely reporting incident and false written statement, Troopers say

LEYDEN- A local resident in Southern Lewis County is faced with charges, including falsely reporting an incident, according to authorities.

Kristen M. Wadsworth, 27, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested Wednesday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Wadsworth is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of falsely reporting an incident in the third-degree and false written statement.

Troopers say these charged were filed in the town of Leyden. At press time, police said that Wadsworth was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
