TROOPERS: Orleans County resident charged with arson in the North Country

WILNA- A resident from Western New York is accused of arson in the wake of a reported domestic dispute earlier this month in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Edward C. Lake, 56, of Medina, NY was arrested Tuesday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Lake is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of arson in the fifth-degree (w/intent to damage property).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from an alleged domestic dispute, which was reported on January 1 in the town of Wilna.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Lake was issued with an appearance ticket.
