Property damage wreck in Boonville leads to impaired driving and drug possession charges against Lewis County resident

BOONVILLE- A property damage crash in Northern Oneida County has resulted in charges against a local resident.

Melissa M. Blanchard, 45, of Glenfield, NY was arrested and charged by the New York State Police on Wednesday night for one count each of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs (first offense) and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest was made following reports of a property damage wreck in the town of Boonville.

At press time, police said that Blanchard was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
