“It’s my turn ... to give a different perspective from the person who was in the room, from the person who lived it, not from someone who was sitting on the sidelines throwing stones.”
That’s what former top aide to Andrew Cuomo Melissa DeRosa says regarding her personal account over a string of turbulent events involving criticism over the state’s handling of the COVID pandemic and sexual harassment allegations against her former boss.
The former top aide recently gave a phone interview with the Associated Press.
Through Union Square & Co., DeRosa is aimed to release a personal account, titled: ‘What’s Left Unsaid: My Life at the Center of Power, Politics, and Crisis.’
The memoir is set to publish October 24. “I think that a lot of people have had a lot to say that has gone unchallenged,” DeRosa told the AP.
“That ends in the fall when this book comes out.”
In 2017, she took on the secretary role for Andrew Cuomo until August, 2021, just before his resignation was revealed.
