REPORT: Lewis County Board of Legislators recommends Timothy Hunt as final candidate for new County Manager

LOWVILLE- Timothy Hunt has been brought forth as the final recommended candidate to take over the Lewis County Manager position.

This development surfaces as the Board of Legislators had several qualified candidates reach out, while interviewing nearly half of a dozen of them over the last several weeks.

Mr. Hunt’s name may ring a bell, as he currently heads the County Highway Department and has been in charge there since 2020.

Mr. Hunt is expected to be brought forth before the legislative board for his appointment consideration during their next meeting, aimed for August 6.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY Oswego and brings knowledge from both private and public sectors in management and budget administration.

The County Manager works collaboratively with staff, department leaders, elected officials, and the Board of Legislators, to deliver key public services and form and enhance relationships with other intergovernmental partners for the benefit of the residents of Lewis County.
