Niagara County resident arrested for alleged intoxicated driving in Lowville, Troopers say

LOWVILLE- A resident from Western New York is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County, authorities say.

Courtney R. Vanvalkenburg, 43, of Ransomville, NY was arrested late Thursday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Vanvalkenburg is formally charged with one count each of DWI (first-offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, the arrest was made shortly after 11:00 p.m. Thursday night in the village of Lowville, NY.

At press time, police said that Vanvalkenburg was issued with an appearance ticket.
