POLAND- Taxpayers will be the ones who end up ultimately deciding the fate of Poland Joint Fire District.
On February 10, residents throughout the townships of Deerfield, Ohio, Newport, Norway and Russia will vote whether to completely dissolve the joint fire district.
This development is according to the latest reports from WKTV.
You may remember last August how the fire district cut ties with Poland Fire Company, citing several reasons, including issues related to operations, training and more.
Ever since, neighboring fire departments have been picking up the slack, as Poland Fire Company cannot respond to calls until they are legally reinstated.
This vote will be taking place on Tuesday, February 10 at the Russia Town Municipal Building at 8916 North Main Street in Poland, NY.
