ROME- Chobani’s third and latest set of site plans have been approved by the city of Rome Planning Board.
This development is according to some of the latest from WKTV.
The way things stand for now, officials say Chobani is expected to start taking in their first milk sometime in 2027.
Meanwhile, construction of the new massive facility, which is situated on a 150-acre parcel near Griffiss Business and Technology Park, will last through the rest of this-year.
When the plant is fully up and running, it is reported that there will be seven production lines featured, however; that is expected to take several years before it becomes fully operational.
The third set of site plans included changes such as spaces for trucks being moved away from residential areas, moving the plant another 250-feet farther away from neighboring residential property lines and no longer including a fruit processing plant.
